Description
Poem reads:
This is my bergan of troubles.
This is my rucksack of woe.
The problem with this f*cking bergan
Is, it goes wherever I go.
Some people say theirs is a monkey.
Others they have a black dog.
Well I have a f*cking great bergan.
It went along with the job.
It’s packed with all kinds of memories.
Of some I never will tell.
To carry this f*cking bergan
Isn’t easy, in fact it’s been hell.
It’s never got any lighter.
Some people added more weight.
And carrying this f*cking bergan
Is an effort I really do hate.
So rather than sitting complaining
I knew that I had to fight back.
To shoulder that f*cking great bergan;
Give in, not me? I’m no jack.
I have dug deep and faced the challenge.
Opened my legs on the climbs.
I’ll get rid of this f*cking great bergan;
I’ll do it one step at a time.
So if like me, you have a bergan,
A monkey, or even a dog.
Shoulder the weight, dear reader.
Push on even though it’s a slog.
There IS a light in the distance.
Push hard and you’ll make it on through.
There’s one person making the difference.
That one person really is you.
