Winners of the Bataan Memorial Death March 2024

Members of 2 PARA were this year crowned the winners of the Bataan Memorial Death March in the New Mexico, USA. This event, which is primarily a military event, was originally set up to mark a page in American history that saw American prisoners of war forced to march 65 miles to confinement camps during the Bataan Death March in 1942.

2 PARA entered two teams into this year’s race, with the help of a grant from SUPPORT OUR PARAS, and both secured top three positions: 1st for Team A, and 3rd for Team B.

The team were also raising money for the charity along the way, and have so far managed to raised an impressive £4,700. There’s still time to contribute towards their target of £5k, simply by visiting their fundraising page.
