The Memory Endures – Para Veteran supports us
Posted on

The Memory Endures tells the incredible story of Reg Curtis’ time during the war, including being taken prisoner and being shot and losing a leg. His nephew, Geoffrey, would travel to Arnhem with Reg in the years before his passing, to attend commemorations and he continues to sell copies of Reg’s book, with profits being sent to SUPPORT OUR PARAS, at Reg’s request.
Geoffrey maintains a Facebook page where he shares memories of his uncle and the times they shared in Arnhem before Reg passed away in 2016.
Geoffrey says, “What struck me immediately in Arnhem in 2004 was that Reg was treated with such extraordinary respect, almost reverence, by the local people. My uncle and his fellow Veterans were the centre of attention and people of all ages wanted to speak with them and shake their hands. Here in Arnhem they seemed more important than movie stars.”
