“Honourable age does not depend on the length of days, nor is the number of years a true measure of life.”
Today, and every day, we remember all those we have lost either during or after their service to our nation. The team from The Parachute Regimental Association have been up to the Field of Remembrance at Westminster and planted crosses with the names of just some of those airborne soldiers; they will remain here until the Field of Remembrance closes on 19 November.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
