The Parachute Regiment pony mascots date back to 1950 when Pegasus I, a black New Forest pony, was presented to 1 PARA by the Lt. Ben Arkle. The current mascot is Pegasus V, a Shetland pony who is a popular part of the regiment’s ceremonial life.

Pegasus is lovingly crafted with a soft and cuddly black body and tail. On the forehead, there is a white diamond mark. With a bean-filled floppy body, Pegasus is a great cuddle buddy and an even better friend.
Pegasus measures 20 cm and is suitable from birth.
