Pamela Worsley-Tonks

Pamela is currently providing psychological therapy to Military Veterans in need of support, through the NHS, whilst studying for a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DPsych). She has worked in a variety of Clinical settings including drug and alcohol abuse, trauma services, refugees and the NHS supporting Veterans mental health: Veterans’ Mental Health Transition, Intervention and Liaison Service (TILS) and the Veterans’ Mental Health Complex Treatment Service (CTS).

Her core career skills were founded in a nine year career within the Royal Navy, leading and supporting individuals and teams. Throughout this time and subsequently for many years she also provided voluntary counselling and practical support to military families, including within the Parachute Regiment.

Specific areas of interest include Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Moral Injury (MI), and the legacy of early traumatic life experiences on individuals.
