Emma Smith

Emma joined the team in March 2024 as the finance assistant. As Finance Assistant, Emma is responsible for overseeing the daily bookkeeping for SUPPORT OUR PARAS and its subsidiary charities and the Parachute Regimental Association (PRA). Emma will assist with the preparation of the annual budget as well as assist with annual audits for the PRA.

Emma holds a degree in Business Studies from the University of Kent and has extensive experience in the Civil Service, having served as a finance officer at the Ministry of Defence and as a HR Manager at the Crown Prosecution Service. She is a qualified CIPD Level 3 Practitioner and has achieved AAT Foundation Level 2 certification.

Emma is part of the Airborne family both professionally and personally through her husband’s service in The Parachute Regiment since 2003. He has served in 1 PARA and is currently serving with 3 PARA.

Emma is a mum to 2 sons who keep her busy outside of work where you can often find her cheering them on from the side lines of a football field. Emma tries to keep active and her own personal achievements include PARAS’10 Colchester and Catterick, The London 10K and Tonbridge half marathon.
