National Memorial Arboretum

On Saturday 6 July, staff from Support Our Paras came together with members of the Parachute Regimental Association, families of our next of kin, and a number of our veterans for the annual Regimental Commemoration Service. This event, organised every year to remember our fallen, is held at the National Memorial Arboretum around our Airborne memorial.

Since a number of the operations our soldiers deploy on are in many places around the world that we may never be able to visit, the Regimental Commemoration Service provides an opportunity for us all to remember those who paid the ultimate price throughout the 80+ years of Airborne history. Together with our next of kin, we spent the day reflecting and remembering these important members of our Airborne family.

This year’s service was led by Padre Jerry Sutton, and organised by Maj (Retd) Paul Raison of The Parachute Regimental Association.
