Month of the Military Child 2025

Posted on

April marks the month of the Military Child, a group that are regularly celebrated in the SUPPORT OUR PARAS office. As military children, spouses and parents ourselves, it is important to us to champion military children every day for being the strong and resilient humans that they are.

Military children can often go for weeks, or even months, at a time with no contact from their serving parent; they often have to move home, school and make new friends every few years due to a serving parent’s posting. This is why the official flower of the military child is a dandelion, because they put down roots anywhere they grow and it survives in a broad range of climates. Military children bloom everywhere the wind takes them.

This year, we are offering you the chance to celebrate with us, by taking part in our Airborne Colouring Competition. Simply download the colouring sheet below and draw a picture that represents our Airborne Forces.

Once you’re done, simply take a photo of the finished picture and email it to admin@supportourparas.org* by Monday 19 May 2025 to be in with a chance of winning a charity t-shirt and some other goodies. Please make sure you include your name and age when you submit your entry. Good luck!

Download your colouring sheets here.

*Completed drawings can also be posted to us at SUPPORT OUR PARAS, RHQ PARA, Merville Barracks, Colchester CO2 7UT for display in our office. Ask a grown up to include a name and contact details.

These are some of the amazing entries from 2024!
