Paddy Doyle, ex-2 PARA, Achieves Another World First Milestone

Posted on

At the end of November, Paddy Doyle once again rose to the occasion by completing his 900th career documented fitness endurance challenge and World Record spanning eleven different sporting categories.

Paddy completed a 12km cross country speed march over inclines, stiles and waterlogged fields carrying a 40lb backpack, finishing at the Royal British Legion Club in Solihull. He was cheered on by Warwickshire Coleshill Town Mayor Sue Wallace, Solihull Mayor Shahin Ashraf, and West Midlands Deputy Lord Lieutenant Everton Burke.

From start to finish his support team made sure he kept to a strict pace, reaching all the checkpoints within the cut off times. Paddy said,

“Many years of pushing my body not to the wall but smashing right through it has paid off, broken bones, slipped spinal discs and minor operations has paid off. I intend to go for 950 documented physical fitness challenges and World Record in 2025, a big thank you to my support team as well.”

Presently, Paddy is recognised by www.officialrecordbreakers.co.uk as the only GB endurance athlete globally to currently hold 900 sporting disciplines covering eleven different sporting categories. Paddy also raised an impressive £450 for Support Our Paras at the event.
