A Night of Music for Remembrance

Join us on Friday 3 November for an evening of music to Support Our Paras.

We will be joined by the Band of The Parachute Regiment and the Colchester Military Wives Choir for a musical evening in St Botolph’s Church, Colchester.

Be prepared for music you can sing along to from the choir and music to tap your toes to from the band, as well as some joint pieces as well!  The concert will also feature music appropriate for Remembrance.

Tickets are just £15 and are available online from our Ticket Source Events Page.

All proceeds from the evening will go towards supporting our Paras.

Community works together to support our Paras

Support Our Paras would like to say a very big thank you to Mr Stephen Brabham and the wonderful locals of Stannington for the very generous donation they have recently sent us.

Locals from Stannington as well as civilians attached to South Yorkshire Police helped to raise £1,000 for the charity, which we were very grateful to receive this week.

The donations that we receive as a charity mean that we are able to continue supporting The Parachute Regiment through the welfare of serving soldiers and families, and those affected by recent operations.  Donations are also used to provide welfare assistance to serving soldiers and families to complement or fill the gaps in state provision, as well as supporting vital aspects of the Regiment’s daily life and history.

A very big thank you to all those involved in raising this great amount!

PARAS’10 Catterick

PARAS’10 Catterick took place on 3 September 2017 and was another huge success.

We were joined by just under 700 entrants, the majority of whom were tabbing the course with 35lb on their back.  Our TAB winner, once again, was Tristan Steed.  Tristan joined us in Colchester earlier in the year and set a new record for the fastest time round the Colchester course.  He was just seconds off doing the same in Catterick, so will have to come back next year!

Congratulations to all our individual and team winners, as well as a big thank you for your continuing support of the event.

PARAS’10 will next be at HellRunner Down South on 18 November.  Check out our website for more details.

PARAS’10 Catterick

This year marks the 10th PARAS’10 race at Catterick.  Over the years, we have had over 10,000 people race at Catterick, over the course that our Paras must TAB during training before earning their maroon beret.

The Catterick course is the same one that recruits must TAB, with a 35lb bergan plus helmet and weapon, in under 1h 50 in order to be worthy of a maroon beret worn by The Parachute Regiment.

PARAS’10 is open to anyone over the age of 16 and entrants can run or TAB the course.  We also have a Canicross option for those who like to race with their dogs!
